On view are 75 black-and-white photographs of 37 women currently involved in aviation and space exploration by staff photographer Carolyn J. Russo. Women included are Patty Wagstaff, the 1st woman U. S. National Aerobatics Champion; Captain Troy Devine, USAF, the 1st woman to fly a Lockheed U-2 reconnaissance aircraft for the Air Force; Suzanne Asbury-Oliver, a skywriter for Pepsi-Cola; Bonnie Wilkens, a heli-tack pilot who extinguishes forest fires from her helicopter; Doris Lockness, an 86-year-old who continues to fly airplanes and helicopters; and Captain Patrice Clarke-Washington, who flies for United Parcel Service and is the only African American woman pilot to hold the rank of captain for a major airline.
