Photographs, woodcuts, and other representations feature women working at a variety of tasks, from unpaid housework to factory labor. Also on view is machinery they used and the products of their labor. The exhibition shows that women of many backgrounds have historically provided a low-cost labor source for industrial America and have performed a wide variety of jobs.
