Some 100 paintings, miniatures, manuscripts, and memorabilia evoke the life and milieu of novelist Edith Wharton (1862–1937). Photographs of such notables as Cornelius Vanderbilt II, Henry James, and Theodore Roosevelt are on view, along with paintings by John Singer Sargent, Frederick MacMonnies, Child Hassam, Camille Pissarro, and Maxfield Parrish.
